Anushakti-Fire-Protekt

The APAR Mahashakti Round Multicore cable is an in-house innovation designed to redefine safety and performance in the Indian electrical market. These cables are engineered with a specially developed XLPO (Cross-linked Polyolefin) compound, which provides superior protection against electrical hazards like shocks and short circuits. Ideal for use with a wide range of electrically operated machines and equipment, from residential air-conditioners and refrigerators to industrial motors, these flexible and multicore cables are built for durability and long-term reliability.

Proprietary XLPO Insulation

The cable is insulated with an in-house developed XLPO compound, a cross-linked polymer known for its advanced thermal properties. This insulation is non-softening, infusible, and non-dripping, ensuring it will not melt or spread flames when exposed to a hot object.

Superior Fire Retardancy:

The XLPO compound boasts a high oxygen and temperature index for excellent fire retardancy. The cable is self-extinguishing and does not easily catch fire, providing a crucial layer of safety for homes and industrial environments.

Features & Advantages

The APAR Mahashakti Round Multicore cable is not only a symbol of safety but also a highly versatile component in any electrical system. The cable’s construction includes an XLPO insulated and special elastomer sheathed design, which contributes to its flexibility and durability.

The cables are available in a comprehensive range of sizes, from 0.5 sq.mm to 50 sq.mm, and come in 2, 3, and 4-core configurations. For projects with unique requirements, larger cores and sizes can be manufactured upon request to meet specific application needs.

Frequently asked questions

What is XLPO insulation?

XLPO, or Cross-linked Polyolefin, is an advanced insulation material created through cross-linking polymers. It is highly valued for its fire-retardant properties, as it is often halogen-free and does not emit toxic gases when exposed to fire.

How does XLPO insulation compare to other materials like PVC?

XLPO insulation offers superior fire safety compared to conventional PVC cables. While PVC is commonly used, XLPO is a halogen-free material, which means it will produce significantly less smoke and corrosive gases in a fire.

Why is the 40% overload capacity important?

The ability to withstand a 40% long-term overload provides an essential safety margin. It protects the connected equipment and the electrical circuit from damage caused by unexpected power fluctuations or surges, reducing the risk of short circuits and electric shocks.
